Sandy and Les
![]()
We took a break under a shade tree near the Raven's Bend
Stage to eat our turkey legs and corn. Sandra (McNeel, of course) instructed
our pose and took the photo. There is nothing indicative of the Rennaisance
period in the photo, but it's one of my favorite photos and it was taken at
the TRF - so I put it on this page.
Grande Marche Parade
![]()
At high noon, the Grande Marche Parade begins at the jousting
Tournament Field, winds around King's Arms Feast Hall, by Odeon's Stage and
the Sea Devil Tavern, between the Mud Pit and the Captain's Galley, beyond
The War of the Roses Rose Garden and Chapel, past the King's Carousel and
site of the Fight the Knight, concluding at the Globe Theatre.
Conan and Zena ?
![]()
Well maybe, were not quite Conan and Zena. This is actually
how we looked a few years ago, when we were younger.
Beth repents after counseling
![]()
After blessing the privy prior to my visitation to it,
these gentlemen counseled Beth for they could sense that her soul was in jeopardy
for the sin of Greed. Being the holy men they are, they prayed to the almighty
for forgiveness
of Beth's indulgences.
Texas Rennaisance FestivalWe visited the Texas Rennaisance Festival in Plantersville about 50 miles Northwest of Houston in September. We were accompanied by my mom Sandra, Beth and Ronnie. The TRF is set in the year 1518. Amazing sights and rambunctious rivalry rule the day! Determined to surpass even the Discoveries in the New World, merchants and artisans of the realm assembled an exceptional collection of unique goods, savory cuisines and choice entertainments. The time is punctuated by exciting jousts, thrilling swordplay and lively players' arts, enchanting music. Should you decide to visit next year's TRF, prepare ye for a rollicking voyage
to New Worlds of mayhem and merriment, laughter and love! |
