photo galleries
The most-recently-added galleries feature photos taken during our visit to Enchanted Rock in the Texas Hill Country and the New Orleans French Quarter this summer.
Added a gallery of photos of a piece of the fallen Space Shuttle Columbia. This 5-foot piece of the shuttle landed in northeast Texas.
Two pages of photos depicting the damage caused in Houston by Tropical Storm Allison are available. I did not take any of the photos in these galleries - these photos, taken by a variety of anonymous persons, were circulated via email during the period.
The Okapi is a rarely seen animal that looks somewhat like a zebra, but is really akin to the giraffe. The okapi is the last large mammal to be discovered (around 1901), and outside of captivity it lives only in the congo.
The Mourning Doves galleries displays photos I took of nesting mourning doves and their babies. These doves nested and bore their young in a hanging plant on the back patio of the apartment in which we used to live. Approximately 30 baby doves were born in that plant.
The Rennaissance Festival gallery displays photos taken during a visit to the Texas Rennaissance Festival outside of Houston.
The Gus gallery displays photos of Gus Matthews, a two-year-old golden retriever.
